Progress 1

this helped put our goals for the website into words and also what we want our website to do. I answered questions such as

Who is the website for?

What do you want a user to take away from your new site?

What do they expect to find or do there?

What do you want to communicate with the content?

What calls to action need to be woven in?

overall doing a creative brief helped me focus on the direction I wanted to go with my website

Progress 2

Throughout the past few weeks I have made a lot of progress on the visual outline of how I want my website to look. I created 3 different mood boards along with 2 style guides. When making these steps it helped me see what I do and do not like and how some ideas…

Progress 3

I finally created my design instagram today with the username @sarahndesign. I have yet to make my first post because I was waiting till all 9 of my designed post were finished. now that they are I planning on posting them all at once.

Progress 4

My instagram post are finally up and viewable. I also started working more on the website, I downloaded Divi which has made creating my vision a lot easier. Recently I have spent a good amount of time playing around with different set ups and color themes as well learning how to use all the helpful tools.

Progress 5

I have been working hard to add to my website and using the work time in class to create an outline of my website. we had classmates fill out usability test on our websites and majority of my suggestions and corrections were to fix small errors such as color or spelling, which I want to focus on after the main frame of my webiste is finsihed.

Progress 6

Over Thanksgiving break we were tasked to create usabiltiy test to give to three family members or friends to fill out. I used the questions from the last usability test because I found the questions helpful and descriptive. I sent the form to my mom my sister and one of my roommates.

Progress 7

We had a work day in class where I focused on adding to my portfolio both graphic design and visual arts. I added more art pieces as well as “call to actions” on both pages of my portolio making it more clear to click on the images to learn more about the work.
